A fallen tree struck a resident’s house in Purwabakti Village, Pamijahan District, Bogor, West Java. The incident was caused by heavy rain accompanied by strong winds.

“Due to the rain accompanied by strong winds, a tree fell and hit the house underneath it,” said M. Adam Hamdani, Head of Emergency and Logistics at the Bogor Regency BPBD (Regional Disaster Management Agency), on Thursday (1/10/2026).

He stated that the incident occurred at approximately 01:00 WIB. The house sustained heavy damage, resulting in the collapse of its roof.

“One house was heavily damaged; the structure suffered significant damage to the roof area,” he said.

At around 08:00 WIB, BPBD officers received reports of the incident and immediately proceeded to the location to provide assistance.

Disaster management efforts lasted for three hours to clear the debris. Adam confirmed that there were no casualties in the incident.

“The house is occupied by one family consisting of five people; there were no victims,” he added.

At present, the residents continue to inhabit the house despite the heavy damage. The fallen tree has since been evacuated by officials.

“The house hit by the tree is currently experiencing damage to almost all parts, particularly the front bedroom and living room, where the entire roof has collapsed,” he concluded.
