Residents block governor's road

KENDARI, Southeast Sulawesi: Hundreds of residents in Mokoau
subdistrict, Poasia district, Kendari municipality have blocked a
road leading to the office of the Southeast Sulawesi governor for
the past five days.

The move, which continued on Tuesday, has annoyed employees at
Southeast Sulawesi provincial administration, who were forced to
walk one kilometer to reach the governor's office.

The residents were demanding the government asphalt streets in
Mokoau subdistrict. -- JP
