JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The area around Cut Meutia Mosque, Menteng, Central Jakarta, began to fill with people ahead of the Ramadhan Jazz Festival (RJF) 2026, on Saturday, 7 March 2026.

According to Kompas.com’s observations at the site, the flow of visitors continued to enter via the main gate adorned with an arch reading ‘Masjid Cut Meutia’.

Hundreds of two-wheeled vehicles were seen filling the parking area in front of the mosque gate.

The density of vehicles indicated strong public interest from various parts of Jakarta to attend the annual festival.

Inside the mosque, the organisers have prepared for the buka puasa moment by arranging thousands of meal boxes for visitors and worshippers.

The white meal boxes were neatly arranged on long tables in the mosque’s foyer area.

Several officers and volunteers were seen organising the queue to ensure orderly distribution of meals ahead of the Maghrib call to prayer.

The festival atmosphere was also beginning to be felt in the mosque’s courtyard.

Several sponsor booths and supporting facilities such as a VIP Lounge and drink stalls were already operating to serve visitors.

Although the area was briefly drizzled with light rain, leaving pools of water in some sections of the asphalt, the condition did not dampen residents’ enthusiasm to attend.

Some visitors were seen gathering around the main stage while awaiting the buka puasa time.

On the side of the stage, multicoloured lights began to illuminate, creating a modern performance atmosphere in the midst of the historic mosque.

The attendees appeared relaxed and chatting with friends or family as they await the performances by the musicians scheduled for the evening.
