Residents Begin Flocking to the State Palace to Attend Prabowo's Open House

Residents have begun flocking to the State Palace area to celebrate Eid or attend the open house with President Prabowo Subianto during Eid al-Fitr 1447 H at the State Palace on Saturday (21/3). Observations from CNNIndonesia.com show queues snaking in front of the Main Gate of the State Palace, with participants ranging from young children to the elderly joining the line. Amid the scorching sun, the State Palace has set up tents to provide shade for those queuing. According to information obtained, the main gate will open at 1:00 PM WIB to allow residents to enter, though numbers will be limited. One resident, Wildan (48 years old), said he has been queuing since morning in the hope of being selected to enter and meet President Prabowo. “I’m from Bekasi. I’ve been here since 7 o’clock queuing with my child and wife. I really want to meet Mr Prabowo,” he said during a conversation. He also mentioned hearing news that Prabowo would distribute basic food supplies during this halal bihalal. He hopes to be able to enter. “I heard from a neighbour that we’ll get basic food supplies too. So I’ve come since morning,” he added. President Prabowo is scheduled to greet the residents at 3:00 PM WIB later.
