To be combined with the story on residential estate:
Raffles Hills housing estate uses western names for particular types of houses such as Ashley for type 481/412 square meters, Catherine for type 486/400 square meters, Philip for type 300/322 square meters and Thomson for type 240/305 square meters.
Clusters with an international nuance can also be found in Kota Deltamas developed by Lippo Group in Cikarang, in East Bekasi.
The Lippo Group developed Kota Deltamas following the successful construction of exclusively designed cluster-type housing complexes for the middle-and upper-income groups like Orchard Hill, Casa Del Madrid, Villa Espana and Palm Hills in Cikarang, East Bekasi.
Kota Deltamas has created a resort atmosphere because more people from the middle-and upper-income groups wish to enjoy a resort-type environment in their home. The clusters that provide a resort atmosphere include Cluster Caribbean, Hawaii, Catania and Cluster Parthenon.
The beach resort atmosphere can be felt through the design that adopts the architectural style of houses in Hawaii, ornaments and decorations in the houses and in public facilities such as plazas, malls and entertainment centers.
If the estates with a cultural theme offer a cultural ambience for their residents, those that focus on environmental themes provide residents with the natural beauty of the surrounding environment like rivers, lakes, hills and mountains.
The Rancamaya housing estate, in Ciawi, Bogor in West Java, for instance, is an ideal residential area thanks to the estate's green, hilly grounds that allow residents to inhale fresh, clean air, enjoy warm sunlight and refreshing vistas.
Rancamaya's marketing manager Sutomo said that real estate developer PT Suryamas Dutamakmur Tbk. built the Rancamaya housing estate based on the concept of quality and harmonious living to ensure that residents feel secure and comfortable.
At the Rancamaya residential housing estate covering some 400 hectares of land, peaceful and harmonious living starts from the entrance gate where visitors or residents are greeted by dense and shady trees. At the second gate, residents will have another breathtaking view: a colorful landscaped garden and waterfalls, with the mountain as a backdrop.
PT Suryamas Dutamakmur started with its Rancamaya housing estate construction project in 1994 and is now constructing another cluster called Istana Bunga or Palace of Flowers. The cluster will comprise around 64 houses built with a modern Balinese architectural design.
"Most houses built using Balinese architecture are close to nature because there are always open spaces at the back of the house," Sutomo said.
The entrance gate of the Palace of Flowers will be decorated with statues and ornaments reflecting a Balinese resort atmosphere to reinforce the estate's environmental themes.
The prices for houses at the Istana Bunga Cluster range from Rp 500 million to Rp 3.5 billion.
Rancamaya is complete with vital facilities including a club- house that comprises a swimming pool, a children's playground, a mini zoo, a fully equipped gym, sauna, restaurants and a pro- shop, a golf course with 18 holes and a tennis court.
Schools, restaurants, spa centers and other supporting facilities will also be constructed for the comfort and convenience of the residential community.
Meanwhile, the increasing demand for environmentally friendly residential houses in town has prompted property developer PT Adiguna Reksa Segara to build Bonavista Residence in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta.
Bonavista Residence will feature around 227 houses on seven hectares of land.
The Bonavista Residence will provide spacious parks at the center of the estate and each house will have a front and back garden, said Bonavista Residence's marketing manager Indra Himawan.
