Resident Wounded as TNI Raids LPG Subsidy Ring in Bogor, Denpom Speaks Out
Asked for confirmation, Commander of Military Police Detachment III/1 Bogor, Letkol Cpm Anggi Wahyu Hardiyanto said the case has been handled by Pomdam Siliwangi. ‘What is certain is that the case has been handled by Pomdam Siliwangi in Bandung. The members at the scene were from the Satlak Lidpamfik Pomdam III/Siliwangi,’ Anggi said when contacted, Wednesday (20 May 2026). He explained the incident occurred on Tuesday (11 May) in the early hours. Initially, Pomdam III/Siliwangi personnel followed up on reports related to suspected Army personnel acting as protectors of the subsidised gas adulteration practice. He said, at the location, the Pomdam Siliwangi members faced resistance and were pelted by locals. ‘In short, they (Pomdam III/Siliwangi) received information from the community, also from networks, that subsidised gas adulterers were being shielded by an Army officer, so (the members) immediately moved there,’ Anggi said. ‘When they arrived there, suddenly people emerged, and they were attacked by the residents.’ Anggi said the Siliwangi Pomdam then fired warning shots as they felt cornered. As a result, a civilian was wounded in the shoulder due to the ricochet of the ricochet or the impact of the bullet from the Pomdam’s gun. ‘However there is a civilian who was hit on the right shoulder by the ricochet or the impact of the shot from the soldier’s bullet,’ Anggi added. He explained that the victim who was shot has received treatment at a hospital. The incident was also resolved amicably. ‘What is certain is it has been settled amicably as well; treated, and the responsibility lies with the soldiers for the member of the public who was shot,’ Anggi concluded.
