Resident opens food aid package at People's Bazaar at Monas
Jakarta (ANTARA) - A resident opened a tightly packed food aid package during the People’s Bazaar event initiated by President Prabowo Subianto at the National Monument area in Central Jakarta on Saturday.
“Very exciting but so crowded. There’s rice. There’s chicken. There’s eggs. There’s sardines. And also this gamis clothing inside,” said Lili, a resident of Pondok Labu in South Jakarta, while opening the food aid package she received.
Lili admitted she had arrived since noon to attend the affordable market event. Although she had to wait and queue, she still felt happy to obtain staple needs while enjoying the event atmosphere.
The People’s Bazaar provided 100,000 shopping vouchers for food aid and free goods worth Rp500,000 for the public.
Perum Bulog, together with ID FOOD, prepared 100,000 food aid packages to be distributed to the public through the event.
The package distribution was carried out through five tents, each consisting of 20 stalls, with each stall targeted to serve up to 1,000 bazaar visitors.
The public’s enthusiasm was evident from the many visitors who immediately opened the food aid packages after receiving them to ensure the contents of the aid obtained in the People’s Bazaar event.
