ResepGerak.ID Launches Evidence-Based Exercise Programmes Tailored to Individual Health Needs
Behind the growing public enthusiasm for exercise, many remain unaware that fitness programmes cannot be standardised for everyone. What suits a young runner may not be safe for an office worker with back pain. Exercises that appear simple on social media can pose risks for those with hypertension, diabetes, or specific injury histories. Unfortunately, many still follow the ‘follow the trend’ principle in exercise without understanding their own physical condition. In response to this, the digital platform ResepGerak.ID has officially launched as Indonesia’s first evidence-based exercise programme platform. ‘For years, I’ve seen Indonesia’s top athletes gain access to science-based training, injury prevention, and recovery protocols,’ said DokAndi. ‘However, millions of Indonesians looking to become more active—from housewives and office workers with physical complaints, to the elderly and amateur runners—have never been taught how to exercise or manage injuries correctly. ResepGerak.ID was developed to bridge this gap,’ he added. ResepGerak.ID’s services are now accessible via www.resepgerak.id. The platform offers a range of guides, including safe exercise programmes, injury recovery, sports injury prevention, and tailored movement plans for chronic medical conditions such as hypertension and diabetes. Additionally, it provides exercise guides for 12 sports disciplines, an interactive body map to identify specific pain areas, and easy-to-follow home workout video tutorials. The Chairman of the Indonesian Sports Medicine Specialists Association (PDSKO), Dr. Muh Ikhwan Zein, Sp.K.O., Subsp. A.L.K(K), stated that with the limited number of sports medicine specialists in Indonesia, ResepGerak.ID can extend its reach to the public. ‘This aligns with PDSKO’s mission to improve the health quality of Indonesians through evidence-based movement knowledge,’ Dr Ikhwan said. DokAndi noted that the platform is built on three pillars: peer-reviewed scientific evidence, Indonesian language accessibility, and practical applicability with actionable guidance. With the right understanding, exercise not only improves physical fitness but also prevents injuries and enhances overall quality of life.
