Researcher: Intellectual Actors in Former Jampidsus Case Must Be Exposed

Public Policy and Governance Researcher Gian Kasogi has stated that the investigation into the alleged corruption case involving former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah must be directed towards uncovering intellectual actors at a higher structural level. Speaking during a public discussion titled ‘Uncovering TPPU and Alleged Intellectual Actors Behind the Former Jampidsus Case: Testing the Independence and Integrity of Law Enforcement’ held by the Millennial Activist Network (JAM), Kasogi emphasised the need for clarity in the investigation’s focus. He argued that if investigators are serious about exposing the intellectual actors, the probe should move upwards within the structural hierarchy. Kasogi noted that the public is still awaiting an official explanation from law enforcement regarding Adriansyah’s capacity in the case. He questioned whether Adriansyah is being investigated in his capacity as the former Jampidsus or as the Chair of the Forest Area Stabilisation Task Force (Satgas PKH). According to Kasogi, this distinction is critical as it will determine the direction of the investigation. If Adriansyah is being examined as the former Jampidsus, the structural investigation into alleged intellectual actors should logically target officials above him. Conversely, if his suspect status relates to his role as Chair of the PKH Task Force, the investigation into the case and alleged money laundering (TPPU) should encompass all elements within the task force’s structure, from the Steering Committee Chair to the members. Kasogi stressed that a clear explanation of Adriansyah’s suspect status is essential for the public to monitor the legal process and continue pushing for the exposure of intellectual actors and alleged money laundering activities that are suspected of harming the national economy.
