Rescuers find more bodies
KOTA KINABALU, Malaysia (AFP): Rescuers have recovered the
body of a Filipino businessman during their search for a Sabah
Air helicopter which went missing last Wednesday with 10 people
on board, officials said.
This brings to four the number of bodies recovered from the
helicopter which was ferrying employees of Petronas Carigali, a
unit of the state-owned Petroliam Nasional Bhd. (Petronas) oil
company.
The body of 56-year-old Filipino Vincente Rico, was found late
Saturday in the waters of Pulau Tiga, an island located between
Kota Kinabalu and Labuan island. Labuan is 110 kilometers west of
Kota Kinabalu, the capital of eastern Sabah state.
Three helicopters, a plane and several navy vessels continued
their search yesterday after two bodies and parts of the rotor
blades of the helicopter were found last Friday.
