Republika Launches Aiman & Aisha, Islamic AI Grounded in the Qur'anic Moral Architecture
Amid the rapid digital transformation, a strategic effort to deliver technology grounded in official religious values was launched. At the National Library of Indonesia’s auditorium, Jalan Merdeka Selatan, Jakarta, on Wednesday, 4 March 2026, Republika held the Grand Launch of an Islamic artificial intelligence platform named Aiman & Aisha.
Under the theme ‘When Faith Meets Technology: Designing AI with Moral Architecture’, the event marks a new milestone in efforts to safeguard the digital sovereignty of the ummah, delivering technology that is not only advanced but also built with moral architecture. The innovative platform is also supported by BytePlus as a strategic technology partner.
Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital (Wamenkomdigi) Nezar Patria expressed high appreciation for Republika’s initiative. According to him, the move represents a progressive adaptation by the national media industry in facing the waves of digital transformation.
More than mere innovation, Aiman & Aisha are a tangible representation of how artificial intelligence can be designed specifically to support a curated ecosystem of Islamic content.
‘The presence of Aiman & Aisha must be understood as an effort to safeguard our digital sovereignty, where artificial intelligence is built on a solid reference to enrich the life of the nation,’ said Nezar Patria.
