Reporting 2027 State Budget to Prabowo, Suahasil Reveals President's Response to State Expenditure Reaching Rp4,100 Trillion

Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara has revealed the directives given by President Prabowo Subianto following a report on the 202_ Draft State Budget (RAPBN) for the 2027 Fiscal Year, which has been agreed upon with the House of Representatives (DPR).

“I reported that yesterday we completed the 2027 RAPBN process and presented it to the President; the plenary session proceeded smoothly, and the support from the DPR was very concrete and very clear,” Suahasil stated in her remarks following a limited meeting with the ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, led by Prabowo at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Wednesday (30/09/2026).

To the President, Finance Minister Suahasil also reported the projected state revenue and expenditure within the 2027 RAPBN. It is noted that state revenue is targeted to reach more than Rp3,400 trillion, while state expenditure is expected to reach more than Rp4,100 trillion.

“I reported the amount of state revenue that needs to be collected as well as the amount of expenditure; state revenue is over Rp3,400 trillion, and state expenditure is over Rp4,100 trillion,” she said.

In addition to discussing the 2027 RAPBN, the government also discussed efforts to maintain economic conditions in the short term. This includes strengthening various forms of assistance required to face the current economic situation.

“Furthermore, in the short term, I told the President and reported on the importance of continuously maintaining economic conditions, including various forms of strengthening and the assistance required for the current situation; the Coordinating Minister will explain further later,” Suahasil added.

President Prabowo subsequently issued directives to ensure that the management of the 2027 State Budget remains credible, with efficiency implemented in a measurable manner. This efficiency is directed so that the state budget can be utilised to its maximum potential for public welfare, social protection, and infrastructure development.

“The President’s directive is to continue maintaining the State Budget so that it remains credible, and to continue implementing measured efficiency so that the state budget can truly be used to the maximum for welfare, social protection, and building infrastructure,” said the Finance Minister.

The meeting also discussed investment needs that will be handled by Danantara. According to the Finance Minister, the government will strengthen the collaboration between Danantara and the State Budget in performing their respective roles to maintain the national economy.
