Report Reveals US Allows Israel to Manage Gaza Reconstruction

Israel’s Broadcasting Authority reported on Monday that the United States has handed Israel a document outlining a plan to proceed with the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, even without the disarmament of Hamas. According to the report, Washington expects a written agreement from the Israeli government on the document. The document reflects American pressure to advance President Donald Trump’s plan, despite Hamas not yet being stripped of its weapons. It obliges Israel to allow various infrastructure projects in the Gaza Strip, including water, electricity, and other essential facilities, in unspecified areas. The document also provides for the relocation of residents from areas still under Hamas control and permits the establishment of a technocratic government headquarters, the construction of bases for international forces, and the rebuilding of the European Hospital in Gaza.
