Replacement Constitutional Court Justice for Anwar Usman to be Inaugurated This Week, Here are the Candidates

State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi stated that the candidate for Constitutional Court (MK) justice to replace Anwar Usman will be inaugurated soon. According to him, the government has received a letter from the Supreme Court regarding the name of the candidate who will fill that position. “It is planned as soon as possible this week,” said Prasetyo at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday (8/4). Nevertheless, he has not yet revealed the identity of the person who will replace Anwar Usman in that institution. In addition to the inauguration of the MK justice, President Prabowo Subianto is also scheduled to inaugurate Ombudsman commissioners. Prasetyo mentioned that it is possible that both agendas will be held together this week. For information, Anwar Usman officially enters retirement on 6 April 2026 after serving as a constitutional justice for 15 years since 2011. He was first inaugurated by the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, at the State Palace in Jakarta. Meanwhile, the selection committee led by the Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court for Judicial Affairs, Suharto, has determined three names of candidates for constitutional justices to replace Anwar Usman. The three candidates are Fahmiron, who serves as a judge at the Denpasar High Court, Liliek Prisbawono Adi as a judge at the Medan High Court, and Marsudin Nainggolan, who is the Chief Judge of the North Kalimantan High Court.
