Replaced as DKI DPRD Chairman, Khoirudin to Serve in PKS Central Board

PKS faction chairman in the DKI DPRD, Muhammad Taufik Zoelkifli, stated that the replacement of DKI DPRD Chairman Khoirudin is a decision from the PKS Central Board (DPP). Taufik said that changing positions is a normal matter and part of the party’s mandate.

“Ustaz Khoirudin also stated, ‘Wherever I am placed, it’s fine. From being chairman, if for example I’m demoted back to an ordinary member, it’s OK’,” Taufik said during a press conference at the DKI DPRD in Jakarta on Tuesday (21/4/2026).

Taufik said Khoirudin will receive a new assignment at the central level. According to him, Khoirudin’s experience as DPRD leader and senior cadre will be more widely beneficial.

“There is a position for him in the DPP. We want to spread his capacity and goodness to the national level. So in the DPP later, he will actually handle all the provinces in Indonesia,” he explained.

Furthermore, Taufik said the rotation decision has been conveyed by the DPP to the PKS Provincial Board (DPW) for follow-up. The DPW then passed on the instructions to the PKS faction in the DKI DPRD.

“Even though the language there is proposing or suggesting a replacement, for us it is an order to the DPW,” he said.

Taufik said the process of replacing the DKI DPRD Chairman is currently underway in the DPRD. The PKS faction has sent an official letter as follow-up to the party’s decision.

“Because this is the DPRD Chairman, it can’t just be replaced like that. It must go through a process, from the DPRD to the Ministry of Home Affairs, then back to the DPRD, including the plenary session,” he added.

Previously, a decree (SK) on the replacement of DKI Jakarta DPRD Chairman Khoirudin circulated. In the SK, PKS proposed replacing the DKI DPRD Chairman from Khoirudin to Suhud Alynudin.

Based on the letter seen by detikcom on Tuesday (21/4/2026), PKS DKI Jakarta revoked DPP PKS Decree No. 128/SKEP/DPP-PKS/2025 regarding the leadership and tools of the DKI DPRD for the 2024-2029 period dated 27 October 2025 and declared it invalid.

“Proposing the Replacement of the Chairman of the Provincial Regional Representative Council of DKI Jakarta from the Prosperous Justice Party, previously held by Drs. H. Khoirudin M. Si, to be replaced by Suhud Alynudin, S. IP., M.Sc,” the SK stated, quoted on Tuesday (21/4).
