Reminder: Odd-Even System in Jakarta Suspended from 14-17 May 2026

Starting today, Thursday (14/5/2026) to Sunday (17/5/2026), the odd-even system in Jakarta is suspended due to the long weekend for the Ascension Day of Jesus Christ. “In connection with the National Holiday and Collective Leave for the Ascension Day of Jesus Christ on 14–15 May 2026, the implementation of the odd-even system on various roads in Jakarta is suspended,” quoted from the official Instagram post of @dishubdkijakarta, Thursday (14/5/2026). The suspension of the odd-even system during national holidays and collective leave refers to the Joint Decision Letter (SKB) of the Minister of Religious Affairs, Minister of Manpower, and Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucracy Reform Number 1497 of 2025, Number 2 of 2025, and Number 5 of 2025 on National Holidays and Collective Leave for 2026. The regulation states that traffic restrictions using the odd-even system do not apply on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays designated by the government. “Traffic restrictions using the odd-even system are not enforced on Saturdays, Sundays, and National Holidays designated by Presidential Decree,” the provision states.
