PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), or KAI, Daop 9 Jember, has reported positive developments regarding the implementation of its 30% discounted train ticket programme. The remaining quota of Lebaran discounted tickets is 4,841 seats.

Manager of Law and Public Relations for Daop 9 Jember, Cahyo Widiantoro, stated that this government-initiated programme continues to show a significant increase in public interest in the Tapal Kuda region. According to him, KAI’s full support for this government policy has proven effective in encouraging public mobility through safe, comfortable, and punctual public transportation.

“Since the official launch of this programme, we have seen tremendous enthusiasm from customers. This is a continuation of our commitment to supporting the national economic stimulus, where long-distance train travel is now much more affordable for people in the KAI Daop 9 Jember area,” said Cahyo in a written statement on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

To date, data shows that this 30% discount programme is in high demand. Of the total 28,032 seats allocated specifically for this programme, as many as 28,754 tickets have been sold. The high number of sales, exceeding the initial seat allocation, is due to the presence of partial passengers, namely passengers who board and disembark at intermediate stations dynamically within a single journey.

Cahyo added that currently, the remaining available seats for the discount programme are only 4,841. As a reminder to the public, this 30% discount programme applies to the departure period of March 14 – 29, 2026.

The list of commercial trains in Daop 9 Jember that are included in this programme is: KA Blambangan Ekspres (Ketapang – Pasarsenen round trip), KA Ranggajati (Jember – Cirebon round trip), KA Mutiara Timur (Ketapang – Surabaya Pasarturi round trip), KA Ijen Ekspres (Ketapang – Malang round trip), and KA Logawa (Ketapang – Purwokerto round trip).

The public still has the opportunity to purchase discounted tickets until March 29, 2026, as long as the quota is available, through various official channels such as the Access by KAI application, the kai.id website, station ticket counters, or other official sales partners.

“We urge the public to make reservations immediately and not delay until close to the departure schedule. Given the increasingly limited remaining quota, early travel planning is highly recommended to get the desired schedule with this stimulus fare,” Cahyo concluded.

KAI Daop 9 Jember remains fully committed to providing safe, secure, and comfortable service standards, and ensuring that every train journey runs on time to support national productivity and economic growth.
