Dakwah Islamiyah congress. The President warned people active in
religious propagation not to mix their activities with politics.
The President (third from right) told participants of the 4th
congress of Majlis Dakwah Islamiyah, a Golkar-oriented Islamic
missionary organization, that if their activities are mixed with
politics, certain groups will use the opportunities for their own
ends.
Yesterday's opening ceremony, which was attended by Majlis
chairman A. Kunaefi (fifth from right) as well as several
government officials, including Minister of Religious Affairs
Tarmizi Taher (fourth from right), took place at the Bina Graha
