Religious Court Grants Ridwan Kamil's Petition on Adopted Child Status

The Bandung Religious Court has granted a petition filed by former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil regarding the status of his adopted child, Arkana Aidan Misbach. The judge declared the adoption carried out by Ridwan Kamil to be legally valid.

The case was registered at the Bandung Religious Court under number 729/Pdt.P/2026/PA.Badg. Ridwan Kamil attended the court in person last week to process the petition.

“To grant the petition of the Applicant (Ridwan Kamil),” the ruling stated, as seen on the Bandung Religious Court’s Case Tracing Information System website.

“To declare as legal the adoption carried out by the applicant, named: Mochamad Ridwan Kamil, of a male child named: Arkana Aidan Misbach, born in Bandung on 28 February 2020,” the copy of the ruling added.
