Reliable Power System Becomes Key Support for Indonesia's Digital Infrastructure Growth
The demand for reliable and sustainable electricity systems in Indonesia is surging due to the growth in data centre investments, increasing adoption of digital services, and the need for non-stop operational requirements.
Consequently, the need for a stable power supply has become a primary concern for various sectors, particularly mission-critical facilities such as data centres, hospitals, industries, and commercial buildings. Even brief power disruptions can impact services, productivity, and system security.
In response to this need, Legrand has introduced a range of uninterruptible power supply (UPS), electrical distribution, and busduct solutions at the Legrand Technology Summit 2026 held in Jakarta.
President Director of Legrand Indonesia, Kovi Valoo, explained that these products include the UPS HPi33, UPS Keor MOD+, UPS Keor MP, UPS Keor DK, and LINKK Busduct, designed to support operational continuity, electrical distribution efficiency, and the needs of modern infrastructure expansion.
“In many industries today, power reliability and energy transition have become primary needs to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently,” said Kovi in his statement on Thursday, 23 April 2026.
As the digital economy develops, Indonesia is becoming an increasingly important market for data centre development in the region. Indonesia’s data centre market is estimated to be worth around US$3.1 billion in 2025 and is projected to continue growing in the coming years.
Therefore, a stable power supply is a crucial aspect to accommodate this, ensuring that the development of the industry or data centre market can continue with adequate supporting infrastructure.
“To support these needs, Legrand is committed to delivering reliable solutions focused on energy efficiency,” he stated.
In addition to the product launch, the Legrand Technology Summit 2026 forum also featured discussions with industry players on the readiness of electrical infrastructure to support Indonesia’s digital growth.
The first panel included representatives from BDX Data Centers, Princeton Digital Group Indonesia, Greencomm Consultant Indonesia, and Legrand Southeast Asia to discuss the construction of resilient and scalable data centre electrical infrastructure.
Meanwhile, the second panel featured representatives from the Indonesian Electrical Engineering Experts Association, Metromedia Elmeka Engineering, Jaya Karya Integrasi, and Legrand Indonesia to discuss the design of reliable backup power systems for various mission-critical environments.
