Rekind Reaffirms Commitment to Quality, Timeline, and Safety in NPK Nitrate Project

Jakarta – PT Rekayasa Industri (Rekind) has formally commenced the First Piling phase, marking the beginning of the first foundation piling work as the primary foundation of the production facility.

Chief Executive Officer Triyani Utaminingsih stressed that Rekind consistently prioritises maintaining its commitment to competency standards and ensuring that every project proceeds in accordance with agreed technical specifications and timelines.

“First Piling is evidence of our seriousness in ensuring the project runs according to targets for quality, timeline, and occupational safety. This is not merely a symbol of the start of work, but a representation of precise and high-standard execution,” said Yani.

She added that since the groundbreaking on 23 December 2025, the entire team has moved swiftly and in an integrated manner to ensure each phase runs according to plan. First Piling also reflects the technical and managerial readiness in overseeing a strategically important national project from the most fundamental stage.

According to Rekind’s NPK Nitrate Project Manager Hafrizal, the First Piling implementation was preceded by a series of technical tests to ensure the work proceeds as planned. Generally, in the pile driving process there are two acceptance criteria established based on soil investigation results: based on target depth or based on final set (calendering). For the NPK Nitrate Project, the criterion used is achieving target depth in accordance with design specifications.

This phase serves as an important validation before work continues on a wider scale. The entire process adheres to the Method Statement, Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), and technical specifications that have been established. First piling serves as the main reference for maintaining consistency of quality in subsequent work.

Based on the results of the team’s inspection, the work has met the established quality parameters. This result signals positive momentum for the smooth progression of subsequent construction phases. Rekind ensures that every step is built on principles of quality, occupational safety, and disciplined project management.
