Rejoining the Cabinet, Prabowo Appoints Hasan Nasbi as Special Presidential Advisor
Former Head of the Presidential Communication Office, Hasan Nasbi, has rejoined the Merah Putih Cabinet. He has been appointed as Special Presidential Advisor for Communications.
The inauguration was led directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, at the State Palace in Central Jakarta on Monday, 27 April 2026 afternoon.
This is stipulated in Presidential Decree Number 53/P/2026 regarding the appointment of the Special Presidential Advisor for Communications.
Prabowo then directly led the oath of office, which was followed by Hasan Nasbi.
“I swear by Allah that I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will carry out all laws and regulations as straightforwardly as possible in service to the nation and state. That in carrying out my duties, I will uphold the ethics of the position, work to the best of my ability, with full responsibility,” said Prabowo.
It should be noted that Hasan Nasbi previously served as Head of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO).
However, Hasan Nasbi was dismissed on 17 September 2025, and his position was replaced by Angga Raka Prabowo. The PCO institution under Hasan Nasbi was also renamed to the Government Communications Agency.
After being dismissed, Hasan Nasbi served as Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero) before finally rejoining the Merah Putih Cabinet.
