Rejection of election
Rejection of election results is ridiculous
From Media Indonesia
The threat of over a dozen political parties to reject the results of the current general election and demand a repeat election is ridiculous, even though it was finally admitted that the statement represented the views of individual party figures rather than the parties themselves.
Whatever may have been the reasons for their rejection, such an attitude is politically illogical in relation to the national interest. It is even more so because those voicing objections were public figures, making it difficult for people to assess the situation objectively.
The relevant political parties should thus think deeply about why their support may have declined considerably and why they will therefore be the losers. If they do lose, they should simply accept it and strive to do better next time.
