Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri Photographed in KPK Custody Vest Following Hand-Catching Operation

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari wore a KPK custody vest after being arrested in a Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) hand-catching operation in Bengkulu on Monday evening, 9 March 2026.

According to KPK documentation received by Kompas.com, Fikri stood in line with four other suspects before being placed in the KPK Detention House at the Red and White Building.

Fikri also carried a medium-sized black suitcase with his hands already handcuffed.

The five individuals were designated as suspects following their arrest during the hand-catching operation in Bengkulu on Monday evening.

“The KPK has designated 5 suspects in this closed-door investigation activity,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the Red and White Building, Jakarta, on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.

Budi stated that the five designated suspects consist of three bribery givers and two bribery recipients.

“Currently, all parties who have been secured and brought to the KPK Red and White building, totalling nine people, are still undergoing intensive examination at the investigation stage,” he said.
