JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari in an anti-corruption operation in Bengkulu on Monday, March 9, 2026, in the evening.

“Confirmed, the Rejang Lebong Regent,” said KPK Deputy Chairperson Fitroh Rohcahyanto when contacted by Kompas.com on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

At present, Muhammad Fikri Thobari and several other individuals have been transported to Jakarta for further investigation.

The KPK has not yet disclosed the specific charges against Fikri.

Fikri’s largest asset category comprises property in the form of land and buildings totalling IDR 14.6 billion. Fikri is recorded as owning land and buildings distributed across three locations: Kepahiang, Rejang Lebong, and Bengkulu City.

Additionally, Fikri possesses transportation equipment and machinery valued at IDR 900 million. He also holds other moveable assets worth IDR 45 million, cash and cash equivalents of IDR 7.2 billion, other assets of IDR 9.7 billion, and outstanding debts of IDR 12.9 billion.

In total, the net assets of Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri amount to IDR 19.5 billion.
