Rejang Lebong Hajj Pilgrims to Join Flight Group 5 from Padang Embarkation
The Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) in Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, has stated that prospective Hajj pilgrims (JCH) from the area departing in 2026 will be grouped in Flight Group (Kloter) 5 from the Padang Embarkation in West Sumatra.
The Head of the Rejang Lebong Kemenhaj Office, M Adityawarman Budi, when contacted in Rejang Lebong on Tuesday, said that for the Hajj season of 1447 Hijriah/2026, Rejang Lebong Regency will send seven JCH out of the total Hajj quota received by Bengkulu Province of 1,354.
“Rejang Lebong Regency received a quota of 13 people this year, but only seven are ready to depart. These JCH from Rejang Lebong Regency are grouped in Kloter 5 from the Padang Embarkation, West Sumatra, with a total of 393 people,” he said.
He explained that the seven JCH from Rejang Lebong Regency in Kloter 5 will join 386 other JCH, comprising 127 from Bengkulu City, 223 from Padang Pariaman Regency in West Sumatra, three from South Bengkulu Regency, five from Seluma Regency, four from Kaur Regency, six from Mukomuko Regency, three from Kepahiang Regency, nine from Central Bengkulu Regency, and six Hajj officials.
“They will be flown from Fatmawati Soekarno Airport in Bengkulu to Minangkabau International Airport using Lion Air, and depart for Madinah on 28 April 2026 at 00:55 WIB using Garuda Indonesia aircraft,” he clarified.
So far, the seven JCH from the area are ready to depart and have undergone health checks, with all declared fit.
Previously, Rejang Lebong Regency received a Hajj quota of 13 people for the 2026 Hajj season. This number is part of the total quota received by Bengkulu Province of 1,354 people.
The reduction in Rejang Lebong’s Hajj quota occurred due to changes in quota determination regulated in Law No. 14 of 2025, which is the third amendment to Law No. 8 of 2019 on the Organisation of Hajj and Umrah Worship, governing the conduct of Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage.
