The Regional Leadership Council of Real Estat Indonesia (REI) Batam once again held the REI Batam Golf Tournament 2026 at Palm Springs Golf & Country Club, Nongsa District, Batam City, on Sunday (16/8/2026).

The tournament, supported by PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) as the main sponsor, was attended by around 260 golfers from Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia.

This year’s event was one of the largest compared to previous editions. The committee used two courses simultaneously, namely Palm Springs and BICC, with a total of 36 holes.

The Chairman of the REI Batam Golf Tournament 2026 Committee, Iann Prasetya Hussi, said the activity was not only a sporting event but was also used to expand business networks among business players, property developers, customers, and business partners.

“Today is REI golf. Thank you to the sponsors. We want to build business relationships with customers and partners to jointly develop Batam. This year’s difference is the biggest because we used two full 36-hole courses,” he said.

The high participation from three countries was seen as demonstrating Batam’s significant potential as a business meeting location while opening opportunities for collaboration in the property and investment sectors.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of REI Khusus Batam, Robinson Tan, said the tournament served as a means to strengthen relationships among stakeholders in Batam.

According to him, the spirit of togetherness was an important part of the event, which brought together business players and partners from various sectors.

“The most important thing is that everyone is happy and goes home with spirit. The synergy on the golf course is expected to continue in supporting the investment climate and development in Batam,” he explained.

To add to the festivities, the committee also prepared various prizes for participants, especially for the hole-in-one category. Prizes included cash, a Vespa motorcycle, and a car.

“With the number of participants reaching around 260 golfers and the involvement of participants from Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia, the REI Batam Golf Tournament 2026 is not only a sporting competition but also a platform to strengthen business connections and open collaboration opportunities in supporting economic growth and investment in Batam,” he said.
