Regulatory Strengthening Takes Centre Stage at Indonesia Guarantee Summit 2026
Jamkrindo Syariah actively participated in the Indonesia Guarantee Summit 2026, held at the Aryaduta Menteng Hotel in Jakarta on Thursday (21 May). In the forum, Hari Purnomo, President Director of Jamkrindo Syariah, acted as a respondent in a Focus Group Discussion on strategic aspects of the guarantee industry.
The event, themed ‘Purifying the Guarantee Industry as the Foundation for Strengthening Financing Access and Financial System Stability’, brought regulators, industry players, academics, and partners together to discuss strengthening the national guarantee industry.
Attendees included OJK Commissioner Board member Ogi Prastomiyono, Deputy Commissioner for Supervision PPDP Iwan Pasila, Deputy for Coordination of State-Owned Enterprises’ Business Management and Development Ferry Irawan, and ASIPPINDO Chairman Achmad Ivan Sutrisna Soeparno.
In the discussion, Hari Purnomo emphasised the importance of risk mapping in each region based on bank NPF and the guarantee industry’s claims ratio. ‘The guarantee industry hopes for risk mapping in each region based on NPF in banking or the guarantee industry’s claim ratio as one of the bargaining tools with partner recipients when determining business strategies and risk mitigation,’ he said. He also noted that currently the tariffs in the guarantee industry remain below the overall default rate. He argued that regulator attention is needed to ensure the industry’s sustainability. ‘The industry hopes for regulatory solutions and attention to this condition so that the sustainability of the guarantee industry remains healthy and sustainable,’ he added.
Additionally, Jamkrindo Syariah called for equal regulatory treatment between the insurance and guarantee industries to avoid market distortions.
Indonesia Guarantee Summit 2026 is regarded as a strategic forum for strengthening collaboration among stakeholders in building a healthy, accountable, and sustainable guarantee industry, while supporting expanded access to financing and national financial system stability. Jamkrindo Syariah also hopes that the Indonesian Association of Guarantee Companies (ASIPPINDO) continues to be a strategic forum for strengthening synergy, regulatory strengthening, and the competitiveness of Indonesia’s guarantee industry.
