The development of Indonesia’s digital financial asset industry requires increasingly close coordination between regulators, infrastructure providers, and market participants, particularly in facing regulatory adjustments. A space for dialogue among stakeholders is considered important to ensure industry growth proceeds in tandem with strengthened governance, transparency, and user protection.

This was one of the topics discussed in a series of activities held by the Central Finansial X (CFX) ecosystem, PT Kliring Komoditi Indonesia (KKI), and PT Kustodian Koin Indonesia (ICC) on the sidelines of Coinfest Asia 2026 in Bali. The activities included the CFX Seaside Mixer and CFX Cryptalk Vol. 2.0, which brought together regulators, legislators, exchange infrastructure providers, clearing and custody institutions, digital financial asset traders (PAKD), technology providers, and institutional investors.

CFX Cryptalk Vol. 2.0: Synergy for Integrity discussed a number of issues faced by industry players in aligning their business activities with the provisions of the Financial Sector Development and Strengthening Law (UU P2SK).

CFX President Director Subani said the forum provided a space for industry players to raise issues arising from the implementation of regulations while discussing them with regulators and policymakers.

“This second CFX Cryptalk serves as a two-way discussion space between us as infrastructure providers and our members, which was also observed by OJK and Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives. The discussions and interactions addressed the implications of the Financial Sector Development and Strengthening Law (UU P2SK) on day-to-day business activities, the dynamics, challenges, and questions faced by industry players in responding to these regulatory adjustments,” Subani said in a statement on Friday (21/8/2026).

In addition to the discussion forum, the CFX Seaside Mixer served as a meeting space for various stakeholders to discuss industry developments and collaboration opportunities.

The series of activities also included discussions on the development of stablecoins, transaction settlement models, and institutional readiness in adopting digital asset developments. Representatives from CFX, KKI, and ICC also participated in Coinfest Asia 2026 panels titled “Stablecoins in Asia: From Crypto Settlement to Real Corporate Payments” and “Stablecoins, Settlement Models and Institutional Readiness”.

Subani said that strengthening the industry depends not only on infrastructure readiness but also on market participants’ understanding of regulations and technological developments.

“CFX does not only focus on the reliability of the BKK infrastructure, but also consistently carries out its mandate for education and literacy to strengthen our position as the industry’s main benchmark. Through stakeholder synergy and integrated system readiness, we are optimistic that we can make Indonesia’s digital financial asset industry more trustworthy, transparent, and competitive,” Subani said.

According to him, input from industry players and regulators will be an important factor in shaping derivative policies and supervisory patterns that can keep pace with developments in digital financial assets without neglecting governance and user protection aspects.
