Jakarta – Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf, commonly known as Gus Ipul, confirmed that at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadhan, the distribution of regular social assistance has reached 90 per cent nationwide.

Gus Ipul stated that regular social assistance includes the Family Hope Programme (PKH), Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT), and basic goods aid.

“Alhamdulillah, the process of distributing regular social assistance continues and has now reached more than 90 per cent nationally,” Gus Ipul said in a statement on Thursday (26 February 2026).

He noted that the 90 per cent figure includes regular assistance for 1.7 million disaster survivors in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

In addition to regular assistance, the Social Affairs Ministry is also distributing adaptive or disaster relief assistance in the three provinces. Adaptive assistance includes logistical support and public kitchens, death and injury benefits, livelihood support (Jadup), and economic recovery assistance for affected communities.

“Specifically, heir compensation for deceased victims has been distributed to 990 heirs, amounting to more than Rp 14 billion,” he said.

Gus Ipul assured that heir compensation will continue to be distributed. “Whenever documents are received and heirs are identified, we immediately distribute to the three provinces of Aceh, West Sumatra, and North Sumatra,” he added.

“The total value is more than Rp 238 billion, and the distribution process has begun as beneficiaries have already been verified,” he concluded.
