Jakarta — The Ministry of Manpower has extended registration for the National Vocational Training Programme Batch 1 in 2026 until 24 March 2026.

Darmawansyah, Director General of Vocational Training and Productivity Development at the Ministry of Manpower, stated in Jakarta on Monday that the extension of the registration period was intended to enable broader public access to the training programme.

“We are extending the registration period so that more people, particularly secondary school graduates (SMA/SMK/MA or equivalent), can make the most of this programme,” said Darmawansyah.

He further noted that the extension also provides additional time for prospective participants, particularly those seeking to improve their work skills, to register online through skillhub.kemnaker.go.id, following the previously scheduled end date of 6 March 2026.

The 2026 National Vocational Training Batch 1 offers 20,000 training places and is conducted free of charge at 21 Technical Implementation Units (UPT) of Vocational Training and Productivity Centres (BPVP), 13 Service Units (Satpel) of the Ministry of Manpower, and several regional Technical Implementation Units of Job Training Centres throughout Indonesia.

The programme is open to individuals aged at least 17 years who have established a SIAPkerja account, with priority given to secondary school graduates (SMA/SMK/MA or equivalent) from 2023 to 2025.

Following the extension of registration, the selection stages for Batch 1 have been adjusted accordingly. Registration remains open until 24 March 2026, with the deadline for completing the Training Readiness Assessment at 24 March 2026 at 23:59 Western Indonesia Time. Selection and interview processes for prospective participants are scheduled for 25–28 March 2026, with announcement of successful candidates on 29 March 2026, whilst the kick-off and orientation for the National Vocational Training Programme Batch 1 remains scheduled for 1 April 2026.

Prospective participants must first create a SIAPkerja account, then follow the available stages in the system, commencing with completing the Work Suitability Assessment, Self Potential Inventory (SPI), and selecting their desired training programme.

Provided facilities include free training and lunch, transportation allowance, workplace injury insurance and death insurance through the Employment Social Security Agency (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan), training certificate from the Training Centre, and a Competency Certificate from the National Professional Certification Board (BNSP). Dormitory facilities are also available subject to criteria and availability.

In Batch 1, available vocational fields include Information and Communication Technology (ICT), entrepreneurship, manufacturing, automotive, tourism, and construction.

Training programmes offered include Internet of Things (IoT), solar panel installation, welding, CNC machinery operation, industrial automation, electric vehicles, cyber security, digital marketing, smart farming, and industrial food processing, among various other vocational specialisations.

“The National Vocational Training Programme is designed directly to address the needs of the industrial sector. Graduates not only receive a certificate but also job-ready competencies. We encourage the public to register immediately before the deadline,” said Darmawansyah.
