Registration for contractors

JAKARTA (JP): The city administration has extended the
deadline for the registration of pre-qualification for
contractors to Aug. 31 because most of them failed to return the
forms before the original deadline of July 31.

Chairman of the city pre-qualification team, Harun Al Rasyid,
said that the decision to extend the deadline was made in an
effort to improve the city service to contractors who intend to
build projects in the city.

Contractors who intend to participate in project tenders in
the city as well as in other parts of Indonesia are required to
possess legal contractor certificates issued by the city
administration.

Harun stated that the pre-qualification office would not
accept registration documents after the new deadline.(yns)
