Registration for 2026 Teacher Professional Education Programme Opens Until 25 July

The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) has officially opened registration for the 2026 Teacher Professional Education (PPG) programme for aspiring teachers. Graduates of S1 or D4 programmes from various fields of study and members of the public who wish to become professional teachers can register from 27 June to 25 July 2026.

Participants will be prepared to teach, guide, inspire, and support the development of Indonesian students. They will undergo lectures over two semesters at designated Teacher Training Institutions (LPTK). The tuition fee is set at Rp 8,500,000 per semester. If participants pass the selection process, the government will provide a subsidy of Rp 17,000,000 for the one-year academic programme.

Registration requirements include being an Indonesian citizen, not being registered as a teacher or principal in the national education database, and being a maximum of 32 years old by 31 December 2026. Applicants must hold a minimum GPA of 3.00 and submit a health certificate, a certificate of good conduct, and a drug-free certificate upon passing the final selection stage. Available fields of study include general subjects such as Primary School Teacher Education, Indonesian Language, and Geography, as well as vocational fields like Automotive Engineering, Culinary Arts, and Software Development.

The selection process consists of three stages: administrative selection, a substantive computer-based test, and an online interview. Candidates who fail one stage cannot proceed to the next. The substantive test is scheduled for 3-7 August 2026, with final results announced on 21 September 2026. Registration is completed online through the SIMPKB application.
