Regional Leaders May Enter SPPG Kitchens to Oversee Free Nutritious Meals Menu

Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, urged regional heads to participate in supervising the menus of Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) prepared at the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG). The aim is to ensure MBG menus in each region comply with nutritional guidelines and fit the budget. Nanik even urged regional heads to inspect the MBG kitchens directly.

‘Sebelum menu-menu itu di-upload, mungkin Bapak bisa, selama Ramadan ini, sambil Safari Ramadan, dicek, Pak, di dapur mereka, apakah benar atau tidak,’ Nanik said during the MBG Programme Implementation Coordination Meeting at the Gradhika Bakti Praja building, Central Java Governor’s Office complex, Semarang, Central Java, on Tuesday (3/3).

Nanik noted that after the Presidential Decree (Keppres) No. 28 of 2025 on the Coordinating Team for the MBG Program, comprising 17 ministries and agencies, is enacted, regional heads may enter kitchens and supervise MBG kitchens, because one member of the Coordinating Team is the Ministry of Home Affairs.”
