Regional Commander states Garuda pioneer bridge brings new hope to Kokoleh residents

Manado (ANTARA) - The Commander of the XIII/Merdeka Regional Military Command, Major General TNI Mirza Agus, stated that the construction of the Garuda pioneer bridge in Kokoleh Satu Village, South Likupang District, North Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi, represents a new hope for local residents.

“The construction of the Garuda pioneer bridge has been completed and can now be utilised by the community,” said the Commander during an inspection of the bridge in Kokoleh-Minut on Wednesday.

The Commander expressed hope that the bridge would provide easier access for the public, particularly in supporting daily activities, resident mobility, and bolstering economic development within the village and its surrounding areas.

Major General TNI Mirza Agus noted that the construction of the Garuda pioneer bridge is a tangible manifestation of the TNI’s commitment, alongside the local government, to help improve community welfare through infrastructure development that provides direct benefits.

“This bridge is not merely a means of connecting one area to another, but more importantly, it serves as a link for hope and opens opportunities for the community to enhance their activities and prosperity,” he said.

The Commander urged that the bridge be maintained, cared for, and utilised to the best of its ability for the common good.

He emphasised that the bridge’s construction serves as clear evidence of the spirit of togetherness and mutual cooperation in delivering development that directly addresses the needs of the people.

“The construction of this bridge simultaneously strengthens connectivity and supports regional progress in the North Minahasa Regency,” the Commander added.

On that occasion, the Commander of the XIII/Merdeka Regional Command also took the opportunity to engage in direct dialogue with the community and distributed essential basic commodities.
