Temanggung (ANTARA) - Temanggung Regent Agus Setyawan stated that the development of Temanggung Regency in 2027 will focus on the agriculture and tourism sectors to support sustainable economic growth, while still considering other sectors. “This is the third year of implementing the Temanggung Regency RPJMD for 2025-2029, which will serve as a guideline for regional development planning in 2027 with that theme,” said Temanggung Regent Agus Setyawan in Temanggung on Friday. He conveyed this during the deliberation on the planning of the 2027 Regional Development Work Plan (RKPD) for Temanggung Regency. He hopes that development in 2027 will be oriented towards achieving tangible and measurable results in line with the targets set in the 2025-2029 RPJMD. The formulated development planning policies will be evidence-based and capable of producing impacts that are truly felt by the community. He explained that the 2027 RKPD for Temanggung Regency supports central government policies, namely Asta Cita, Trisula Pembangunan (high and sustainable economic growth, poverty reduction, human resource improvement), National Programmes, and National Strategic Programmes. It also supports development policies in Central Java Province, namely the Priority Programmes of Central Java Province and Delegated Programmes at the Regency level. “I hope that the implementation of the 2027 RKPD Musrenbang will produce formulations of priority programmes and activities that are in line with the vision and mission of Temanggung Regency for 2025-2029, aligned with national and provincial policies, and able to address regional development challenges and needs,” he said. He stated that the Musrenbang held today aims to gather input for refining the Draft 2027 RKPD for Temanggung Regency. In preparing the 2027 RKPD, he emphasised that it is inseparable from regional, national, and global issues that can affect the macro development indicators of the region. He noted that several strategic indicators currently show quite good performance, including economic growth of 5.66% (above national and provincial levels), an open unemployment rate of 2.31% (second lowest in Central Java), a Human Development Index of 72.52%, a per capita GRDP of 38 million Rupiah, and a poverty rate that has decreased to 7.78%.
