Regent Satria Receives Award at National Governance Awards 2026
Klungkung Regent I Made Satria received a prestigious award at the National Governance Awards (NGA) 2026. The award was given in recognition of the Klungkung Regency Government’s (Pemkab) commitment to expanding access to healthcare services and social protection for the community.
The award presentation, themed ‘Nusantara Synergy for Golden Indonesia’, took place at the Mega Kuningan Hotel in South Jakarta on Friday (24/4/2026). Pemkab Klungkung was deemed successful in curbing stunting cases in the area.
“One of the main indicators is Klungkung’s significant success in reducing the stunting prevalence rate,” Satria stated in his comments on Saturday (25/4/2026).
The award adds to the string of brilliant achievements by Pemkab Klungkung at the national level. The NGA, organised by Metro TV, serves as a platform to appreciate regional heads in Indonesia who are assessed to have innovative, transparent governance that has a real impact on their regions.
“This will certainly serve as motivation for us to continue striving for innovations so that we can enhance the potential we have in Klungkung Regency. This achievement is also inseparable from our previous accomplishments in the health sector,” he explained.
Based on the latest data, the downward trend in stunting in Klungkung is very impressive, from 5.2 percent in 2024 to 3.21 percent in 2025, and 3.15 percent as of March 2026. Satria also appreciated all the regional apparatus organisation (OPD) units of Pemkab Klungkung who have worked hard together.
“This award is extraordinary and will serve as motivation for us to continue striving to produce further innovations. Our focus is on how to continuously enhance Klungkung Regency’s potential for the welfare of the people,” Satria added.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Tito Karnavian expressed his highest appreciation to all regional heads receiving the NGA 2026 award. According to him, this award is an objective recognition of the commitment to delivering transparent, accountable, and innovative governance.
“In line with this award, the responsibility to maintain public trust becomes much greater. Therefore, I instruct all regional heads to continue working with integrity and maintain a collaborative work rhythm between the executive and legislative branches for regional progress,” Tito advised.
