Regent Rudy Denies Viral Threats of Bogor Withdrawing from West Java

Rudy emphasised that the Bogor Regency Government continues to synergise and maintain a good relationship with the West Java Provincial Government under the leadership of Governor Dedi Mulyadi. “We are simply inviting the entire community to be wise when using social media,” Rudy stated at the Bogor Regent’s Pendopo in Cibinong on Monday (18/5/2026).

He stated that neither he nor the Bogor Regency Government officials have ever conveyed any narrative regarding a threat for Bogor Regency to exit West Java. “If there are news reports claiming that if policies A, B, or C are not followed, the Regent and Vice Regent threaten to leave West Java Province, then show the video or the statement. I assure you, there is none,” he said.

According to Rudy, the Bogor Regency Government is currently focused on accelerating development across various sectors in conjunction with the West Java Provincial Government and the central government. He noted that Bogor Regency still faces many significant tasks, ranging from the construction of road infrastructure and schools to the improvement of public services, all of which require support from all parties.

“The people of Bogor Regency need the acceleration of infrastructure development. There are still many damaged roads and many damaged schools,” he said.

Rudy also urged the public not to be easily provoked by unverified information on social media. He added that social media should be used as a medium for delivering constructive criticism and input to the government. “Use social media to provide suggestions, input, and constructive criticism for the government,” he remarked.

Furthermore, Rudy asserted that the relationship between the Bogor Regency Government and the West Java Provincial Government is harmonious and mutually supportive in regional development. He stated that the Bogor Regency Government continues to follow the directives of both the central government and the West, acting within their respective authorities. “We are building the nation together according to our authority, responsibility, and respective roles,” he said.

The Regent also called upon the people of Bogor Regency to maintain unity and not to be divided by false information circulating in digital spaces. “All people of Bogor Regency love peace. All people of Bogor Regency do not want to be divided,” he concluded.
