The KPK has designated five individuals as suspects following a dawn raid (OTT) targeting Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari of Rejang Lebong regency. In addition to Thobari, the KPK has named the Public Works Official of Rejang Lebong District and three private sector individuals as suspects.
“The recipients (the regent) and the public works official. The other three are from the private sector,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo when asked for confirmation on Wednesday (11 March 2026).
Budi stated that the case relates to alleged bribery. However, he has not yet disclosed details regarding the total amount of money allegedly involved.
“The matter concerns allegations of receipt of funds by the regent and from several private sector parties acting as project contractors in what constitutes a corrupt scheme for project financing within Rejang Lebong regency,” said Budi.
