Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Regent of Gowa, Sitti Husniah Talenrang (HT), attended her first interrogation after being named a suspect in an alleged corruption case by the National Police’s Corruption Crime Eradication Corps (Kortastipidkor).

According to ANTARA’s observations, Sitti Husniang arrived at the Bareskrim Polri Building in Jakarta at 10:46 WIB. She was seen wearing a black headscarf and a striped shirt.

When members of the media questioned her regarding today’s interrogation, she stated that she would provide an explanation after the process was complete.

“Perhaps later, once everything is finished,” she said.

Kortastipidkor Polri named Sitti Husniah as a suspect in a case involving alleged corruption in the form of extortion and money laundering (TPPU) related to the processing of Building Approval (PBG) and other permits in the Gowa region, South Sulawesi.

The Director of Enforcement (Dirtindak) of Kortastipidkor Polri, Brigadier General Pol. Roberthus Yohannes De Deo Tresna Eka Trimana, revealed that there are four clusters of alleged extortion events carried out by Sitti Husniah, with identified or tracked funds totalling Rp1.1 billion so far.

He detailed that the Rp1.1 billion consists of Rp150 million related to the alleged processing of spatial planning suitability approval (PKKPR), Rp850 million related to the establishment of Indomaret outlets, and Rp100 million related to the sponsorship of ‘Beautiful Malino’ under the guise of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

“And a request for a 70 per cent discount on house ownership. That is what we have been able to trace or find during the investigation process,” he said.

He stated that the victims of the extortion in this case are housing developers and representatives from Indomaret.

“This is based on the identification carried out by the victims, namely the housing developers and the Indomaret party,” he added.
