Regent of Bogor: Development programmes must be measurable and effective
Bogor Regency, West Java - The Regent of Bogor, Rudy Susmanto, has asserted that regional development programmes must be measurable and effective to provide real benefits to the community. This was stated by Rudy following his leadership of the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Evaluation Meeting alongside the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and officials from the Bogor Regency Government in Cibinong, West Java, on Monday.
The meeting was convened to evaluate regional development achievements and to formulate strategic steps in supporting the partial changes to the 2026 Fiscal Year Regional Budget (APBD) implementation. Rudy stated that performance evaluation serves as a vital foundation for determining more targeted development policies and programmes.
According to him, every government programme must be designed based on accurate data and must be capable of addressing the needs of the people. “Amidst global economic volatility and the various fiscal challenges we currently face, we must present development programmes that are data-based, precisely targeted, and provide direct benefits to the community,” said Rudy.
He explained that the KPI evaluation was conducted to examine various regional development indicators that serve as references in policy formulation and budget planning. Through this evaluation, the Bogor Regency Government, in collaboration with the BPS, aims to ensure that every development programme runs more optimally, accountably, and in alignment with community needs.
Rudy also urged all regional agencies to strengthen coordination and collaboration in facing increasingly complex development challenges. He noted that development success cannot be achieved by a single regional agency alone but requires synergy from all stakeholders. “Let us join hands to strengthen synergy to deliver development that provides the greatest possible benefit to the people of Bogor Regency,” he added.
Rudy further mentioned that the Bogor Regency Government is committed to using the results of the KPI evaluation as the basis for policy formulation and budgeting to ensure regional development is more effective, measurable, and has a direct impact on the community.
