Gianyar Regent I Made Agus Mahayastra has inspected repair projects on a number of road sections in Gianyar. Mahayastra ensured that the work is proceeding according to plan, both in terms of quality and progress on the ground.

“Road construction must provide long-term benefits for the community. Accelerating the work needs to be balanced with supervision of the quality of the results,” Mahayastra said in his statement on Sunday (6/9/2026).

Mahayastra asked for the road repair projects to be accelerated until November 2026. Even so, he stressed that the projects must not sacrifice the physical quality of the roads.

“If possible, it should be completed by November 2026. If not, then December 2026. But the quality must be good,” said Mahayastra.

The Gianyar Regency Government, he said, is committed to continuing to accelerate the handling of regency roads. Mahayastra said all damaged regency roads will be completed in stages.

The road sections currently being repaired include Jalan Tojan - Jalan Perangsada - Jalan Saba; Jalan Samu - Jalan Belang; Jalan Keliki - Jalan Sebali - Jalan Payogan; and Jalan Tengipis - Jalan Gambih. The repair progress on all these road sections has not yet reached 15 percent.

“So that the infrastructure built can be used safely and comfortably,” said Mahayastra.

It is known that the construction and quality improvement of road infrastructure is one of the priorities of the Gianyar Regency Government.
