Bandung Barat Regent Jeje Ritchie Ismail inspected the preparedness of tourist areas on Monday, 25 May 2026, ahead of the long holiday for Idul Adha 1447 Hijriah. He stated that all tourist attractions in the region, including Lembang, are ready to welcome visitors during this long weekend.

Based on the Joint Decree (SKB) of the Three Ministers No. 1497 of 2025, No. 2 of 2025, and No. 5 of 2025, the government has designated Wednesday, 27 May 2026 as the national holiday for Idul Adha 1447 Hijriah. Thursday, 28 May 2026 has been set as a collective holiday for Idul Adha.

Friday, 29 May 2026 remains a working day, but the public can enjoy a longer long weekend by taking additional leave on that day. Following this, the holiday period will continue through the weekend on Saturday and Sunday. The sequence of public holidays is then followed by Pancasila Day on Monday, 1 June 2026, which has been declared a national holiday.

“Today, I inspected the preparations on the ground, including the routes leading to tourist areas in Lembang. I’ve visited several tourist spots to check their readiness as this is a long holiday period,” said Jeje in Lembang.

Jeje hopes this long holiday will boost tourist visits and accommodation occupancy in Bandung Barat. He noted that there are many attractive tourist attractions in Lembang, Cisarua, Parongpong, and other areas for visitors.

“My hope is for more visitors during this long holiday. This is certainly beneficial for Bandung Barat, as there are several popular destinations for tourists. However, we must also ensure the roads leading to these locations are safe,” he added.
