The West Bandung Regency Government is set to replace the Rawabogo Bridge, currently constructed from wood, with a concrete structure this year. A budget of Rp8 billion has been prepared to transform the old bridge to ensure it is safer and more long-lasting.

The Regent of West Bandung, Jeje Ritchie Ismail, personally inspected the condition of the bridge located in Kampung Babakan Garut, Rancasenggang Village, Sindangkerta District, West Java. Jeje confirmed that the old bridge will be repaired within the current year.

“I personally inspected one of the bridges in West Bandung that is quite old. As this is part of the residents’ daily activities, we will address it immediately,” Jeje stated on Friday (5/6/2026).

The bridge, which spans the Ciminyak River, serves as a vital link between several villages in the Sindangkarta District and functions as an alternative access route towards Ciwideuy in the Bandung Regency.
