Regent: Galuga PSEL can resolve Bogor waste issues within 10 years
Bogor Regency (ANTARA) - Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto stated that the development of the Waste-to-Energy Processing Centre (PSEL) at the Galuga Landfill in Bogor Regency, West Java, is targeted to resolve waste issues within 10 years.
The commitment was emphasised by Regent Rudy during discussions on accelerating the PSEL project with local government officials, as well as representatives from Weiming Group and Danantara, at the Regent’s Office on Tuesday.
Regent Rudy said that the Bogor Regency Government is expediting various stages to ensure that modern technology-based waste processing can be implemented soon as a long-term solution.
Through PSEL technology, he stated, waste that has long been a chronic problem is expected to be processed optimally while also generating electricity.
According to him, transforming the Galuga Landfill into a modern waste processing centre is a strategic step in reducing dependence on conventional landfilling methods.
He hopes that the PSEL project at the Galuga Landfill can become a sustainable solution for waste management, while also improving environmental quality for the community in the future.
A representative from Weiming Group expressed appreciation for the Bogor Regency Government’s support for the planned construction of the modern waste processing facility.
