Regent: Cooperative Jamboree Strengthens KDKMP Partnership in Tangerang

Tangerang Regent Moch. Maesyal Rasyid said the Cooperative Jamboree is a forum to strengthen partnerships between Village/Sub-district Red and White Cooperatives (KDKMP), established cooperatives, and micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) players to expand market access and reinforce the local economic ecosystem. He stated that collaboration between cooperatives and MSMEs is an effort to turn the wheels of the economy, ultimately making a real contribution to economic growth in Tangerang Regency. According to him, strengthening networks among economic actors is increasingly important amid the government’s efforts to promote cooperatives as community-based economic drivers. This collaboration is considered capable of strengthening local supply chains, enlarging business partnership opportunities, and creating space for the emergence of new, more competitive enterprises. A total of 350 participants took part in the Cooperative Jamboree, which was held on 23-24 July 2026 at the Kitribhakti Campground in Curug District. Participants included existing cooperatives, KDKMP, and various MSME players in Tangerang Regency. Maesyal said the activity was designed not merely to commemorate National Cooperative Day, but as a forum to strengthen cooperative institutional capacity while bringing cooperatives together with MSMEs to build mutually beneficial partnerships. He added that the involvement of KDKMP with MSMEs is a strategic step in building a more productive village economic ecosystem. Through this collaboration, business actors not only gain opportunities to conduct direct transactions but also expand marketing networks, share business experiences, and enhance the competitiveness of local products. During the jamboree, participants also received training on modern cooperative management, MSME development, strengthening business independence, and creating new entrepreneurs, which is expected to improve the quality of human resources driving the people’s economy. Head of the Tangerang Regency Cooperative and Micro Enterprise Agency Anna Ratna Maemunah said the activity also served as a means of knowledge transfer between established cooperative managers and newly formed KDKMP administrators to accelerate the strengthening of governance and business development. In addition to strengthening institutional capacity, the agency also used the momentum to introduce the cooperative movement to the younger generation through various educational activities involving Generation Z and millennials. She noted that the involvement of the younger generation is important to ensure the regeneration of cooperative actors while encouraging the birth of innovation in cooperative-based business development in the future.
