Regent: Coffee from Kuningan has potential to penetrate global markets
Kuningan (ANTARA) - The Regent of Kuningan, Dian Rachmat Yanuar, stated that coffee commodities from his region have the opportunity to penetrate global markets, in line with improvements in quality and the strengthening of production ecosystems.
He said that coffee from his area has demonstrated quality capable of competing at the international level, including from Karangsari Village, Darma Subdistrict.
“Coffee from Karangsari has passed curation to appear at international exhibitions and will once again participate in the World of Coffee 2026 event in Bangkok on 7-9 May 2026,” he said in Kuningan on Sunday.
According to him, this achievement shows that the quality of Kuningan coffee can compete internationally while opening up opportunities for expanding export markets.
He assessed that coffee is not only an economic commodity but has become part of the community’s creative ecosystem in Kuningan Regency.
Dian also stressed the importance of maintaining quality from the picking process to processing, in order to preserve the taste and selling value.
“Do not pick the ones that are still green. Quality must be maintained, including clean processing so that the coffee’s taste remains intact,” he said.
