The needs for establishing Nutrition Fulfilment Service Offices (KPPG) in Bogor differ from other regions, which generally have only one service office.

Bogor Regency (ANTARA) - The Bogor Regency Government, West Java, has recorded that 604 Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) or MBG kitchens have been established in a short time and are spread across 40 sub-districts.

This achievement was conveyed in a speech by Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto, read by the Head of the Bogor Regency Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Service, Nurhayati, at the inauguration of SPPG Cijujung 03 owned by the Bogor Regency Chamber of Commerce in Sukaraja Sub-district on Wednesday.

“April 2026 data, from the 40 existing sub-districts, currently 604 SPPG are spread out serving 2,570 beneficiary groups with a total of 611,436 beneficiaries,” said Nurhayati reading the Regent’s speech.

She explained that the SPPG service coverage has reached various education levels, from primary schools to upper secondary, including early childhood education.

For primary school level and equivalents, there are 1,038 schools with 306,879 beneficiary students. Meanwhile, junior secondary level and equivalents cover 408 schools with 144,036 students, and senior secondary level and equivalents number 287 schools with 118,971 students.

The Bogor Regency Government, she continued, has a significant responsibility in ensuring the nutrition fulfilment programme runs optimally as part of efforts to support the national strategic programme.

“This programme is not just about nutrition, but also about strengthening the local economy,” she said.

She added that the presence of SPPG is expected to serve as a driving force for effective and hygienic child nutrition fulfilment, while also encouraging the absorption of raw materials from local farmers and businesses.

Meanwhile, the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, stated that up to five Nutrition Fulfilment Service Offices (KPPG) will be established in Bogor Regency, West Java, due to its status as Indonesia’s largest regency by population.

According to him, the needs for establishing KPPG in Bogor differ from other regions, which generally have only one service office.

“Bogor is the largest regency in Indonesia, with the largest population, the largest number of beneficiaries, and likely more than a thousand SPPG,” said Dadan.

Dadan explained that every 50 SPPG will later be under one KPPG coordination, so the establishment of five KPPG is deemed ideal for Bogor Regency.

“Its task is to supervise existing SPPG, coordinate with local government, and also coordinate various SPPG activities in the region,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Chair of the Bogor Regency Chamber of Commerce, Sintha Dec Checawaty, expressed her side’s commitment to fully support the MBG programme through the construction of SPPG kitchens.

She stated that the Chamber of Commerce views the MBG programme as a strategic step to directly mobilise the community economy.

“We are committed to providing the best service to the community and fully supporting the government programme,” said Sintha.

Through this collaboration, it is hoped that the MBG programme will not only improve community nutrition quality but also strengthen regional economic resilience.
