Regarding Three-Axle Trucks Violating Restrictions, Ministry of Transportation: Already Enforced

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) states that the police have taken decisive action against three-axle trucks violating the Joint Decree (SKB). “I believe the police have already taken firm action against operators who continue to operate on the roads,” said Director General of Land Transportation at the Ministry of Transportation, Aan Suhanan, while monitoring the security for the Night of Takbir Eid al-Fitr 1447 H at the Promoter Building of Polda Metro Jaya on Friday. He also added that in addition to issuing tickets, the police have diverted and blocked routes to prevent access to toll roads. “I think these are efforts by the police to provide comfort to mudik participants and other road users,” said Aan. He further noted that during this return flow period, restrictions on goods transportation, namely three-axle trucks and above, trailer trains, and mining goods transport, remain in place. Aan added that based on Ministry of Transportation data, there have been more than 170 warning letters issued to operators who continue to operate their vehicles during the restriction period. Previously, a video circulated on Instagram uploaded by the account @jktnewsreborn on Wednesday (18/3), showing a three-axle truck passing through the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. “Police stopped a three-axle truck that was escorted on the Japek Toll during the Eid mudik flow. The truck was prohibited from passing because it violated the three-axle truck restriction rules in effect during the Eid transportation period,” wrote the account.
