Regarding the Impact of the Middle East War, Danantara Prepares These Investment Ammunition
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Investment Management Agency Daya Anagata Nusantara (BPI Danantara) is monitoring developments and phenomena in the capital market industry, which is currently in a downward trend. The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) remains in a bearish phase and has fallen below the 7,000 level.
Danantara’s Chief Investment Officer, Pandu Sjahrir, stated that geopolitical sentiment is not only impacting Indonesia’s capital market but also stock exchanges worldwide.
“I think all markets are currently experiencing problems. Because of the war issue, it’s not just Indonesia. All markets,” he said when met at Menara Bank Mega in Jakarta, quoted on Wednesday (8/4/2026).
Pandu said that Danantara remains active in investing in the capital market by communicating with Investment Managers (MI). Of course, the selected stocks must have positive prospects and fundamentals.
“Well, of course we look at it, I always communicate, we are always active in the market, we look. Of course, we will also look at the best returns. So I say companies that have good prospects, good fundamentals, good liquidity, of course we will look at them,” he explained.
Pandu emphasised that Danantara has also allocated funds to enter the capital market. “We have reserved funds to invest there,” he said.
“We also work with MI. So we go through several MIs, they will do that,” he concluded.
